We've entered a welcome new chapter in our lives as hikers. Willa has moved to the backpack position. It is so much more comfortable to have her on my back, and she really seemed to like it. The little snuggly pack is only good for a few more pounds and then we might have to invest in a backpack carrier with a frame. Not only is the back more comfortable it is also safer because I can see my feet. The leaves made the steep parts of the trail a little slick. The colors were fantastic yesterday. When we crossed paths with other hikers most of them couldn't tell I was carrying a baby from the front. Several people were surprised by her when they noticed her behind me. The dogs were happy to get out and go for a hike since it is getting dark before Morgan is home from work most days- their walks have been limited (I can only go so far with a baby and 2 dogs on my own). The best part of the backpack carrier was when she got a little tired Willa just laid her head on my back and took a little nap.
