Willa had her first 12 hour night in a while, and we all enjoyed it a lot. The funny thing is that when she sleeps really well at night she tends to take better naps during the day too. She was happy and cheerful all day long and the video is from right before bedtime when she is usually getting pretty cranky.
Mornings have become a critical time in our household lately. I think Blanca is smarter than we give her credit for sometimes. When I worked the dogs ate at 6am and 6pm. Now Morgan doesn't get up until 6:30 so they are a little off. Sometimes Willa wakes Blanca up and sometimes Blanca wakes Willa up. I try hard to stay in bed if it is 4:30 until Willa's giggles turn into cries (if she doesn't go back to sleep), but once Blanca hears movement she is ready to eat. I think she has figured out now that Willa can't feed her yet, but I think she is catching on to the idea that awake baby means awake adult and awake adult means FOOD!! Add a nervous German shepherd to the mix on a rainy night and nobody gets any sleep.
I have nothing to complain about because unless Willa is really congested, which she has been twice, she hasn't slept less than 7 or 8 hours straight since she was that many weeks old. I can't say that to many moms I meet for fear of being stoned, but I feel safe writing it here.
