We were in Greensburg for a couple of days at first. Willa went to church where Nana got to show her off. She had a lot of fun with Sami and Joe- Joe really isn't too impressed by a baby, but Sami loves being a big cousin. She came up with several toys and gifts that she wanted Willa to have.
We also took a side trip to Franklin to hang out with the girls. Willa got her first kiss from a non-relative boy and then she took a bath with him! Daddy is going to have his hands full in 16 years!
Brownsburg was our next stop. Willa slept through most of the Thanksgiving Eve fiesta, which was as fun as ever. It took about 30 minutes to make a dent in the pilgrim head pinata- everyone had at least one shot at him some of us got two turns. I'm proud to say that my years of softball served me well and I gave him the final blow. The turkey and all the fixings were a collective triumph again this year, and on Friday we got to go on the Thomas/Baggarly Christmas tree hunt. From the stories I've heard about Christmas tree hunts in the past we were lucky to have such a lovely day, such skilled navigators, and all around good spirits.
On our way back to Greensburg we stopped to visit with the Dickersons- a visit that was long overdue. Abby was a wobbly toddler the last time I saw her, and now she is a lovely little girl with a baby sister on the way.
Back in Greensburg there were 4 generations of Wilsons around to enjoy another wonderful meal prepared with seemingly no effort by mom. Dad and Dave did do a great job with the dishes. We didn't get off to a super-early start Sunday heading home, but we made pretty good time. So Willa and I have spent the week recovering, actually she is sleeping better than she has in a while, but naps are suffering- hence little blogging.
