Growing Babies

It is really amazing how babies grow and change. On a day to day basis I see the big changes and new accomplishments, but sort of lose perspective on the physical growth. When I first took Willa out to the grocery or on a walk women would always comment that they could hardly remember when their baby was that small, of course I thought- how could you forget. Now when I see a tiny baby I can't imagine Willa was ever that small.

I have friend from school that had a baby boy, Erik, 5 weeks after Willa and it is amazing to see them side by side. Erik has out grown Willa in length, but she is ahead in weight. It is fun to compare what they are up to and to see them interact. Both were a little more reserved than normal although Willa let out a few yells that scared poor Erik. We had a little dinner party when both pictures were taken, and both moms were much more able to enjoy ourselves with a few months of motherhood under our belts.
